Starting kindergarten is a big milestone—for children and parents! To make the transition smooth, the Allen Early Childhood PTA, in partnership with Allen ISD, invites you to join us for a special evening of learning and resources:

Kindergarten Readiness Day: A one-day, free lesson to guide parents and children through kindergarten preparation.

Early Learning & Enrichment Fair: A family-friendly fair highlighting local programs, after-school care, private and transitional Kindergarten and enrichment opportunities.
Program Overview
Kindergarten Readiness is a parent information event designed to help families feel confident and prepared for the very first day of school.
At this one night event, you will:

Walk through the enrollment process step by step.

Review the required documents for New Student Online Enrollment (NSOE).
-
Learn what to expect in kindergarten—from daily routines to learning goals.
-
Discover tips to help your child build confidence socially and academically.
-
Gain insights directly from Allen ISD teachers and administrators about developmental milestones, readiness skills, and how parents can prepare at home.
Children are welcome to attend with parents or caregivers; however, please bring something to occupy them during the 30 minute presentation.

Before and after the Kindergarten Readiness Day presentation, families are invited to explore the Early Learning & Enrichment Fair.
This free, come-and-go event is a great way to:

Learn about Pre-K programs, Private and Transitional Kindergarten options.

Explore after-school care opportunities.
-
Discover enrichment programs such as dance, karate, theater, art, STEM, music, and more.

Gather brochures, schedules, and registration details from multiple providers in one convenient location.
No registration required to attend the fair — families are welcome to drop in before or after the Kindergarten Readiness Day session.
