Do you have events for working parents?
We do!
At AECPTA we realize that family avilability is a moving target and we try to host events at all days of the week and rotating times so that there is an event for everyone. You’ll see evening and weekend events on our calendar, including after-work playdates, weekend family outings, and parent nights out.
Do I need to live in Allen?
We have members from Allen, McKinney, Fairview, Plano, Lucas, Parker, and Murphy.
While most of our events are in Allen and the surrounding areas anyone is welcome to join.

Why should I join?
At its heart, it’s all about fun and friendship—with a purpose! Through the PTA, we go beyond playdates by offering parent education programs, community service, and family activities that support the well-being of young children. Our goal is to create a strong, supportive network for families with kids ages 0–5.
Is this only for moms?
Our group is comprised of all types of family members. AECPTA considers each membership a “family” membership, meaning one person signs up and everyone in their household is welcome at member events. Dads and grandparent caregivers are always welcome to be members.

Are there attendance requirements?
You can come to as many or as few things as you would like! We encourage you to use AECPTA in whichever way works best for you and your family. Our calendar is filled with a variety of activities spanning different days and times. Our monthly programs are used to conduct business and each has a presenter, but you are not required to go.

What about volunteering?
Like all PTA groups, we have ample opportunities to volunteer. From ongoing board and committee positions to one-time events, there are many ways to lend a hand. However, volunteering is not mandatory! You will never be required to volunteer, nor will you be made to feel bad if you do not. We are a very accepting group and understand our members have varying ways in which they participate in AECPTA.
