Throughout the year, we invite the community to join us at free and low-cost events that are open to the public, such as:

  • Monthly Community Programs & Meetings
    Guest speakers, parenting topics, and time to connect with other caregivers.

  • Kindergarten Readiness & Early Learning & Enrichment Fair
    A free, district-wide event with local schools, programs, and resources for families of soon-to-be kindergartners.

  • Allen ISD & City-Wide Events
    Join our AECPTA team or stop by our booth at events like the Allen ISD Eagle Run and other community happenings.

  • Fundraisers & Special Events
    Family-friendly fundraisers, fitness events, and more that support AECPTA programs and our Allen community.

  • Public Park Playdates
    Casual, drop-in playdates at local parks where kids can play and caregivers can meet new friends

Learn more about our Community Programs

Our monthly Community Programs & Meetings are designed to be welcoming and informative for caregivers of young children in Allen and the surrounding area.

Education

We offer sessions led by experts on practical, family-focused skills. Topics can range from safety (fire prevention, emergency readiness), to legal preparedness for families, to personal health areas such as postpartum recovery. You’ll walk away with tools and insights you can put to use right away.

Connection

Community-building comes first. Attendees are welcomed often with greeters, name tags, and a brief social time to make newcomers feel at home. We usually kick off with light refreshments and casual mingling before the official meeting starts.

Agenda

Meetings follow a clear structure to keep things productive and fair: opening remarks, officer and committee reports, unfinished business, new business, announcements, and closing. Programs take place after the business portion of the meeting. Most meetings last about an hour.
