What do Dues Cover?

Dues are $25.50 a year; with membership running August to August.
Your membership dues do so much more than cover expenses, they are utilized to help create a welcoming, supportive community for families with young children.

Here’s how your contributions make a difference:

Insurance & Facility Costs

Whenever families gather — especially with little ones — safety and security come first. That’s why a portion of membership dues goes toward liability insurance through AIM, giving parents peace of mind that our programs, events, and activities are backed with protection. With those “what-ifs” taken care of, parents can relax, kids can play and learn, and everyone can focus on building connections.

We also contribute to facility donations, ensuring we have safe, welcoming spaces for meetings, playgroups, and special events.

Tools That Keep Us Connected

Behind the scenes, your dues support the technology that keeps families informed and connected. From Wix and GoDaddy to our PTA registration tools (PTA.org) and membership management software (PTEZ), these resources make it simple to find events, receive updates, and stay engaged.

They also help us provide training and resources for our board members, so our volunteer leaders can continue to grow and serve families more effectively.

Fun & Educational Experiences for Families

Membership dues make it possible for us to offer experiences that enrich both children and parents. Whether it’s subsidized field trip tickets that make outings more affordable, family parties and socials that bring everyone together, or parent education programs featuring workshops and guest speakers, these opportunities create memories and build community.

We also provide nursery sitters and snacks during meetings so parents can participate in enrichment programs while their little ones are cared for. And because every gathering needs a little extra support, dues also help cover supplies, materials, and small comforts that make our events feel welcoming and fun.

Community & Giving

Our reach extends beyond our membership. Each year, we host the Kindergarten Readiness Program, open to all families in Allen with incoming kindergarteners. This program not only prepares children for school but also connects parents with valuable community resources like after-school and enrichment opportunities.

We also contribute through donations to the Allen Council of PTAs. And when a family in our community faces a difficult time, we step in with meal trains and gift cards, offering comfort and practical help when it’s needed most.

Recognition & Appreciation

We value the dedication of those who make our community possible. Our executive board members give countless hours of their time, and we make it a priority to honor their efforts. We also spread gratitude in small but meaningful ways — through thank-you cards and raffle gifts that remind members how much they’re appreciated.

For those who have given years of service, we celebrate together at the Lifetime Membership Banquet, a special tradition that recognizes lasting contributions and the bonds that hold our community together.

In Summary

Every dollar of your membership dues goes toward creating a stronger, safer, and more connected parent community. Together, we’re building more than events and programs — we’re building friendships, support systems, and a village that every family can count on.
