Park Meetups

Our park playdates are the perfect way to enjoy the outdoors while meeting other families. We schedule regular meetups at local parks in Allen, Plano, and McKinney, giving kids plenty of space to run, climb, and explore while parents connect and relax.

In Home Playgroups

Playgroups are at the heart of AECPTA. These small, close-knit groups meet regularly at homes, parks, or play places. They’re perfect for toddlers and preschoolers to make friends, and for parents to find support and connection throughout the year.

Family Parties

Seasonal family parties in summer, fall, winter, and spring bring everyone together. With weekend scheduling, the whole family can enjoy activities, food, and fun traditions. These events are always a favorite for kids and parents alike.

Field Trips

Our field trips let little ones explore the best of Collin County and beyond. From museums and zoos to splash parks, playgrounds, fire stations, aquariums, bounce houses, and open gyms — AECPTA helps your child discover the world while you connect with other parents.

After-Work Events

Our after-school meetups in are designed for families with both school-age children and little ones. Older siblings can burn off energy while toddlers and preschoolers join in the fun at parks or local play spots. It’s a convenient, family-friendly midweek activity that gives parents time to connect. Ideal for local parents balancing multiple kids in our early-childhood community.

Weekend Events

Weekend outings in Allen and surrounding North Dallas suburbs let whole families—toddlers, preschoolers, and siblings—join the fun. From car shows and carnivals to local fairs, festivals, and community events, there’s always something exciting to explore. These family activities offer things to do with toddlers while parents enjoy connection and community. Perfect for families in Collin County, Plano, McKinney, Murphy, or Fairview.

Moms Night Out

Join us for monthly outings to restaurants, movies, craft nights, or just time to relax and recharge with friends. It’s the perfect way to enjoy some grown-up conversation. You’ll enjoy adult conversation, laughter, and community with fellow moms in a local parent support circle. We plan evenings that are easy and welcoming for caregivers of young children.

Dads Night Out

Dads get their own time too! These fun evenings bring fathers together for laughter, games, and camaraderie. It’s a chance to celebrate active parenting while making friends who get it.

Parent Education Programs

Members can learn from guest speakers on parenting and family topics. Past sessions have included sibling rivalry, stress management, sensory play, pediatric dental health, and brain development — all tailored for parents of toddlers and young children.

Sunshine Committee

One of our most beloved traditions, the Sunshine Committee brings meals, encouragement, and support when members welcome a new baby or face challenging times. It’s a heartfelt way our community takes care of one another.

Stroller Walks

Stay active while your little one rides along! Stroller walks combine fresh air, gentle exercise, and good company with other parents. Kids enjoy the walk too and afterwards the little ones play.

Book Club

We usually gather at a local Mexican restaurant, where you can chat even if you haven’t finished the book. It’s a relaxed, social evening for caregivers to unwind while engaging with other parents of young children. Reading optional—community encouraged.

Cooking Club

Each month features a fun cooking theme or recipe exchange. Members share meals, swap kitchen tips, and connect in our dedicated Facebook group. It’s a great way to explore new flavors and friendships.

Alumni Group

Even after your child graduates to kindergarten, you can remain part of AECPTA through our free Alumni Group. Many families continue enjoying the friendships and activities long after their little ones have “aged out.”

Dress for a Mess Craft Time

Come together for messy art projects, painting, gluing, and sometimes simple sensory play that little ones can dive into without worry. Y are encouraged to bring clothes that can get dirty while kids explore textures, colors, and new skills. It’s a playful way to spark imagination and connect with other families in our parenting community.
