Kids Activities
Field Trips
The AECPTA plans monthly fieldtrips. Whether its painting pottery, trying gymnastics, having lunch with friends, or participating in community activities, you will love getting together with your PTA friends! Experience what Collin County and surrounding areas have to offer!. You choose which fieldtrips you and your children would like to participate in and make friends along the way
Dads-N-Kids Activities
AECPTA knows how important it is to develop that special bond between Dads and their children. So many studies have shown that a male role model in a childs life provides a positive benefit all the way up to and through adulthood. Outings each month are scheduled just for Dads and their children to have some fun. It is a great way for Dads to socialize with other Dads.
The AECPTA offers several playgroups to promote friendships for your children and yourself. We have playgroups throughout the entire year. Our children benefit from the social interactions and parents benefit from the adult conversation. Groups meet in homes, at parks and at playgroups.
The Babysitting Co-op is a way to trade child-care hours with other AECPTA mom at no monetary cost.
The co-op is based on a point system. You decide with the sitter what works best for you. Your house or hers? Lunch? You, also, decide whether or not to take a sit. Just remember the more you sit the more you can have someone sit for you.
Community
The AECPTA supports several local charities and organizations that directly assist our community. We take great pride in making a difference in our community and neighborhoods. Events are planned to teach our children the importance of community and “giving of oneself”. They even get to have some fun in the process.
